"Albedo Room"
On the occasion of Alchemica, celebrating the 35th anniversary of Elle Decor Italia, we pushed the boundaries of innovation by successfully testing a micro paper flooring, presentedduring Milan Design Week.
Using cellulose fibers, a natural material derived from plants, we created a unique continuous layer that extends from the floor to cover part of the walls as boiserie.
This custom handcrafted surface with an irregular feel - available in two natural tonal variations - is styled as an “Informale” design and protected with certified Bio coating.

"Alchemica" installation emerges, intertwining Elle Decor’s vision with the metaphor of alchemy, an ancient practice that explores material transformation both as a physical process and as a symbol of growth and change. In the exhibition, alchemy is expressed through an evocative and intuitive language that reflects the metamorphosis of domestic spaces, in tune with an ever-evolving society. The installation is centred around the three fundamental stages of the alchemical process – ‘Nigredo’, ‘Albedo’, and ‘Rubedo’ – each represented in distinct environments corresponding to the most symbolic spaces of the home.
